Abstract
An integrated process for extraction of fertillizer grade potassium chloride and megnesium sulphate (epsom salt) from sea bittern, left afeter the extraction of sodium chloride, has been developed on a semipilot plant scale at the institute. india's potassim chloride require ments of about 50,000 tons a year are almost entirely met by imports at present.
