Hydrolytic kinetic resolution (HKR) of racemic alkene epoxide is an attractive strategy for the synthesis of valuable enantiopure terminal epoxide and corresponding diol in single step as racemic epoxides are inexpensive and commercially easily available. Both terminal epoxides and their respective diols in chirally pure form have wider applications both in academic and industrial context.en_US
